The Nemling is a small creature that's somewhere between a biological animal and a machine. It does not seem to need organic food, but fresh water must be provided daily. It's internal structures consist of both organs, and a miniature nuclear reactor. U-235 can be fed to it as fissile fuel, and if consistently fed, the Nemling will produce several small Plutonium spheres every 3-4 days, and a large 14lb Plutonium sphere every 30-40 days that can hatch into a new instance of the abnormality.

If the Nemling is in a maintained state of irritability, it can pose a threat to employees. If nothing is done to appease the Nemling, it will proceed to vomit corium from its internal nuclear reactor at the employee, causing severe injuries. Giving it a treat can help calm it down.
